Five on Friday!

Woo hoo, I had time to whip up a 5 on Friday this week!

1. Now that Lucas's birthday party is over, you know I've already started planning next year's! I clearly have a problem. I am thinking of a construction theme ("I dig being 2!") and have been having so much fun pinning ideas already here

And while we are on the topic, Ella decided she wants an art party for when she turns 4. I think we may have it at a local art studio, and she also wants it to be a rainbow theme. I've been pinning ideas here...for her birthday in 8 months! Like I said, I have a problem.

2. I made this for dinner last night and it was a big hit!

It was super easy (I was able to make it while Ella was eating her gourmet dinner of plain noodles and gogurt....ugh) and both Trav and I thought it was really good! Plus it made enough so we also have dinner for tonight.

3. Did you all see that George Clooney named one of his twins Ella?!?! Too bad he didn't name the boy twin Lucas or I could have sold them all of my monogrammed kids' stuff for a deal!

4. Now that preschool is out for the summer, I have been going through Ella's art work that she made all year, and it is making me insane
I started to take pictures of each thing and upload it onto an app called Artkive (they make books out of the kid's art work)...but there has to be an easier way, right?!? I didn't date any of the stuff as she made it throughout the year, so now I'm trying to look back and guess what date she made what.

I should have made her pose with her art like this every single Tuesday and Thursday! Ugh. This organizing thing might take me all summer. If you have any tips for organizing your kid's preschool art, please send them my way!!!

5. Next Friday is our 5 year anniversary!!! It feels like 2012 was last year and 25 years ago all at the same time!

We are thinking of taking an anniversary trip in a few months, when Trav's work schedule calms down a little bit...where should we go?!
A few requirements:
-No Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica or Bahamas. Or Aruba. (we went there on our honeymoon and loved it, but want to go some place new!)
-A direct flight from Charlotte would be amazing.
-All-inclusive would also be amazing, so we can have drinks by the pool all day long and not worry about how much they are costing us.

So far I have St. Martin, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos, St. Thomas/St. John and Antigua on my list....any more I should conducer?! If you've been to any of these places, let me know!

Happy weekend, friends!
