Life with Ella {week 12}

Gosh, y'all...do I seriously have a 12 WEEK OLD?!

Someone told me that after 12 weeks, you can't refer to babies as ____ weeks old anymore, and while I haven't been doing that for a while (lately, I just say she's 2 and a half months old or almost 3 months), it still makes me sad that my baby is too old to be however many weeks old.

I also swore I wouldn't do these weekly posts after about 12 weeks or so, but guess what?! I enjoy looking back at what we do each week, and I know I'll want to remember this stuff forever, so I'm not stopping anytime soon! :) Sorry, I'm not sorry.

Anyways, here's a look at our past week!

Monday, my parents were in town, so they helped me run some errands. First, we went to Target, of course! Someone definitely enjoyed herself in Mommy's favorite store!

Costco did not excite her nearly as much.

I also remembered that Trav's parents had gotten us this sweet bib for her first Easter, and we had totally forgotten to wear it on Easter! So I put in on Ella on Easter Monday (who knew there was such a thing?!) and she definitely kept trying to eat it! Ha!

Before bedtime, we got to read Ella's personalized book from the Easter Bunny. And yes, it made me cry...no clue what is so sad about it?!

Tuesday was pretty low key. Ella wore her adorbs shirt from the Easter Bunny,

we went on a walk, and then Ella watched her dad workout when he got home from work (a new favorite activity!).

Wednesday, we had to cheer for the Bobcats again,

and Ella went to the park with her bf, Rhys!

Thursday, we hit up the library for story time again. As soon as we got there, I realized Ella had completely blown out her pants (and of course, this was the one time I did not bring a change of clothes in my diaper bag!), so she had to spend the remainder of the time in just her shirt and a diaper. Don't judge me.

At least she seemed to enjoy the bubbles regardless!

We also went on a hunt to find me some new jeans again (the ones I bought a month ago are now too big, but I still can't fit into my pre-prengancy jeans!).
Ella was having a good ol' time...

...until about the 3rd store, when she was clearly annoyed that we were still shopping for jeans!

On Friday, one of my friends posted this video to Facebook. I instantly loved it (as I am the biggest bandwagon UNC fan on the planet) and showed it to Ella...who in turn was mesmerized by it!

I'm not sure if it was the song, or the beautiful UNC campus, or the students dancing around that captivated her, but whatever it was, she was kind of obsessed with it!

Note the number of views on youtube...pretty sure we are responsible for at least 100 of those, haha.

On Saturday, Ella, Travis and I went to Rhys' first birthday party!!

Ella had a great time with her boyfriends, Rhys and Thomas!

Yesterday, Ella went to lunch with Dame for her 2nd birthday!
Oh but first, I had to get her picture wearing her first personalized outfit!!!
{There is a kiosk at SouthPark Mall that does monogramming for only $8! Right by Pottery Barn and Sephora!)

You may remember, Dame is Kathryn's dog who we had a big party for last year!!

After some Chipotle, Ella came with me to her very first bridal shower for my friend, Amber!

Ella was super well-behaved, and there were a few other babies in attendance as well, so I didn't feel quite so bad for bringing her (I promise, I really don't take my baby everywhere, Trav had a stupid basketball game, so I had to bring her with me)!

We have another fun week planned for this week, including turning 3 months on Saturday!
{Where has the time gone?!}

Five on Friday

In honor of getting my last paycheck this upcoming week (ever? till August? that's a whole other post...), here's 5 things I plan on spending my money on (HA! Just don't tell my husband!)

1. Tory Burch is having her 25% off Friends and Family event!!! You know I'm alllll over this one. I'm definitely looking for some new sandals....what shall I get?!

Decisions, decisions!

2. I have $40 of Old Navy Super Cash to spend starting Sunday! I'm thinking of getting some new workout gear. Sorry, I am too cheap for Lululemon!

3. I also have $50 of GapCash to spend starting in a few weeks (yep, love those Gap brands)! I've had my eye on a few maxi skirts/dresses for summer!

4. I feel like I mention Tweekaboo in every freaking Five on Friday, but I just got an email that they are offering 20% off a photo book with promo code MomsRock!

It expires May 4, so I will have to hurry up with Ella's 3 month pictures so I can order her 3 month book before next Sunday!

5. Ok....something I've already bought! I was in Kid to Kid the other day and scored all of this for $50!

Yes, that's a Lilly Pulitzer dress ($18!) and some super adorbs Gap jean shorts ($5!). And that pink bubble is getting monogrammed today! Should I do "E," "eFg," or "Ella"?! Eeeeeee I'm so excited for my girl's first monogrammed outfit!!!

Have a great weekend!

Ella's First Easter

We had a really great first Easter as a family of 3!

We went to church Easter morning, and Ella did great! She hardly made any noises, and everyone loved her!

When we came home, we did Easter baskets!

The Easter Bunny brought Trav and I the standard chocolate/jellybeans/alcohol (oh, and I also got some nail polish!). Funny how that bunny knows just what we like!

What did Ella get in her Easter basket?! I'm so glad you asked! ;)

She got a personalized book (that for some reason makes me cry when I read it...hormones), a snuggle bunny (to go with the book, duh!), a bunny top, a dress,  2 new headbands from Gap, a car seat toy and another toy that she currently has no interest in! Ha!

She also got another Easter bucket from my parents with this book and some new bath toys!

I would have kept Ella in her sweet Easter dress all day long, except the Bobcats were playing at 3, so we had to support Daddy's team!

Ella enjoyed watching the game with her dad and grandpa (I changed her back into her Easter dress at halftime)!

{This picture cracks me up. Not sure why my dad is making the worst face ever.}

We had pork chops for dinner that I somehow convinced my mom to cook for me. I hate cooking! Thanks again, mom!

We ended the day relaxing out by our fire pit!

It was a great day and I'm glad my parents were able to come from Virginia to see Ella for her first Easter!

Life with Ella {week 11}

This was quite a busy week with my fav gal! CMS was on Spring Break, so we got to spend some time with a few of my teacher friends! :)

Case in point, on Monday, my friend Amber came over and we helped her address her wedding invitations! You know I love all things wedding, so I was in heaven. Ella just slept.

On Tuesday, my friend Katie invited me, Ella, Caitlin and Frankie over to her house for lunch!

We took the girls for a walk, and as soon as we got down the street, it started pouring. We were all completely drenched by the time we got back to her house...except the babies who were kept dry in their strollers! At least Elle Belle looked adorbs in her little rain coat!

On Wednesday, we went to lunch with Kathryn!

Kathryn was sweet enough to pick up Ella's outfit at H&M. It says "BORN 2014" (you all know how crazy I am about even numbers, and was adamant about not having a baby in 2013!) and even comes with a matching hat! Is that not the cutest thing ever?!

Since it was a little cold out that day, Ella also got the opportunity to wear her little owl jacket!

This weather may have sucked, but I was just glad I was getting more use out of Ella's 0-3 month winter clothes! Ha!

Thursday, we went to our very first story time at the library with Amanda and Rhys. I think Ella liked it?

We also had our Easter photo shoot with my little honey bunny!

I know, I posted some on Friday....but here's a few more. I just can't help myself :)

And of course, we had several baths last week.

Love my little lamb chop!

Friday, we met Kathryn again, but this time for sushi!

Then before the rain came, we took a walk with Amanda and Rhys!

On Saturday, Ella hung out with her dad while I ran 20484 errands (not really, I pretty much just went to Target...but got all the way to check out and realized I forgot my wallet. So I had to go home and get it, thus becoming a 2 hour Target run!)

She was definitely ready for the Easter bunny to visit (once he made it out of Target! Haha)!
I will write about Ella's first Easter tomorrow!
