Five on Friday!

We are BAAACK from our Italian vacay, and I can promise you, was nothing short of amazing.

I'll be posting FULL recaps next week (still a little too overwhelming to me right now as I try to get back in the swing of things!), but for now, I'm linking up to share my top 5 favorite moments of our trip!

1. My birthday
My 28th (!!!) birthday was last Saturday, and we had such a fun day, which I will tell you about later. But, at dinner, our waiters surprised us, turned out all of the lights in the restaurant (we thought the power had gone out) and sang Happy Birthday to me in English! HA!

I was SOOOO embarrassed, but I couldn't stop laughing/crying!! My stomach hurt. Good times.

2. Seeing the Pope
 I'm not Catholic, but seeing the Holy Father on the last day before he left Rome for his summer retreat?! Pretty cool!

Can you see him?!!

3. Swimming in the Green Grotto

Ok fine, so this was part of my birthday again. Sorry, I'm not sorry. The water was so clear!!!
{PS-thank you, April, for the boat ride recommendation! We took your advice, and it was amazing!}

4. Boat trip to Murano, Burano and Torcello

My mom told us that we had to do this while in Venice and I'm so glad she did! It was a super fun afternoon and a great way to explore these cute little islands!

5. Spending time with these 3 people

We had a BLAST. Need I say more?!

I'll have more updates next week! Have a great weekend!!!

  2. I studied abroad in Italy and LOVED it. So cool you saw the Pope! I thought Venice was overly touristy but still so, so cool. A definite must for anyone traveling to Italy. Happy belated birthday!
