Life with Bennett {week 11}

Happy Friday!
Another week in the books with our sweet peanut!

Friday:
We had a VERY eventful last Friday!

First, Bennett was excited to be twinning with a Real Housewife's baby!

Bennett also finally graduated out of newborn size diapers!

Then I decided to take all 3 kids to the pediatrician: Bennett's 2 month check up and flu shots for Ella and Lucas. Yes I am insane, and yes it was as awful as it sounds.

Ella had to be forcefully held down by the nurse and me...good gracious is she strong! She did NOT want that flu shot! Thankfully the boys weren't as dramatic about their shots!

Bennett is up to 10 pounds now!

He also had what I was hoping would be his last heel prick...but his hemoglobin fell to 9.3, so we have to keep checking it! Boo.

Lucas got these glasses from the prize box for being so good, and I think they are just the funniest thing!

After naps on Friday, I found out Peppa Pig was coming to our mall, so of course we had to go up there and meet her (again)!

Ella (and Lucas) colored some beautiful pictures to show Peppa.

Bennett got to meet Peppa again too!

We also walked to the middle of the mall to see the Christmas tree that was already set up! This was November 2, people. Christmas just gets earlier and earlier every year! Not that I am complaining!

Santa was already there, too!

Since it was a bit slow (hello, it's early November so not a lot of people are thinking about visiting Santa yet!), Santa came over and gave us a private concert with his harmonica! If you're wondering if I have already started the "You better be good, Santa is watching you!" threats, the answer is YES and so far, they are WORKING.

Saturday:

Soccer! Duh.

Trav also got some of the leaves up outside, while others watched him from inside! I got a chance to hang up my new shiplap sign from my friend Chelsea! She and her husband make these (and they also made my kitchen table!), and you can change out the pumpkin for other seasonal objects throughout the year! I also have a Christmas tree, flower, sunshine, school bus, heart, and a few others! (Their Instagram is @BinksandBubs if you want to see more of their awesome work!)

Trav's parents came by to see Bennett!

We also went out to eat for dinner, and Lucas decided he was too hungry to wait for the food, so he ate the crayons instead.

Sunday:

We changed our clocks and watches. Some of us got an extra hour of sleep, but it certainly wasn't me.

Look who got into my bronzer.

Ella was also guilty of not eating her dinner (shocker) and instead chose to spell her name with carrots. I mean...

Monday:

Well, our treadmill is STILL broken and I was over getting up at 5 AM to go to the gym to run. So I finally splurged on the overpriced stroller adaptor for my double BOB. We were all ready to go for a run, me and my 2 boys, on Monday morning....

...and then it started raining. Womp, womp. So no run for us. It also rained on Tuesday and I am pretty sure I have a minor meniscal tear, so I decided just to take this week off running. I'll report back on running with the car seat in the double BOB next week hopefully!

Monday afternoon, Ella completed her first homework assignment. I LIVE for these things! Her assignment was to create a disguise for the turkey, so he wouldn't get eaten on Thanksgiving!

She decided to make a princess. We got out all of the craft supplies and Ella told me what to put where. I only burned my finger 12 times on the hot glue gun.

Tuesday:

We had our last Bible study for the fall! Nehemiah check and done.

Then we went to vote!!!
Guess who had an epic meltdown in the line?!

Yep. The sweet poll workers gave him a cookie to keep him quiet!

And because nothing says "Happy Election Day" like Christmas jammies...we had some photos taken by a local photographer of the kids in their Christmas pajamas!

They actually ALL cooperated (for the most part). It helped that the photo shoot was only 10 minutes long, too!

I can't wait to see the pictures she got and hopefully use at least one for our Christmas card!

Bennett also watched his first UNC basketball game Tuesday night (when everyone else was watching the election results...can you tell we are NOT a political family at all?!)!

Wednesday:

I had on some new jeans, and convinced Ella to match me!

She has flat out refused to wear jeans since 2015, so this was a very big deal!

The boys and I went to our church story time, where Lucas built tower after tower and knocked all of them down!

He also came very close to running over Bennett with this truck.

Next stop: car wash! We could have stayed there for hours...Lucas was mesmerized!

That afternoon, our neighbors were setting up their turkey for Ella and Lucas!!! Both kids were so excited to see it when they got up from their naps!

Thursday:

It was rainy and cold, so we had a day at home to just get stuff done! I really need to implement at least one of these days every week...as much as I love to be on the go, there is always so much to do around the house!

The boys snuggled while our treadmill got fixed (again!). So, the good news (well, bad news for our bank account) is that we are getting a new treadmill! Supposedly, it is top of the line and we will never need any repairs on it, ever. (It does have a lifetime warranty, so if we do need repairs, at least we won't have to pay for them.) It takes 4-6 weeks to arrive though, so our treadmill guy fixed our current treadmill so it will last until we get the new one.

I also FINALLY took picture of Ella's artwork from last school year. I know I'm so behind on life.

I am putting all of her pictures once again into a Chatbook. For this school year, I have started an Instagram account for her artwork, so that I can add pictures to it regularly, and I'm not waiting until a year later! And then I can just make the Chatbook straight from that Instagram account! Thank you, Beth for that idea!!!

We ended our Thursday with some snuggles and a whole lot of laundry.

Have a great weekend! We have absolutely no plans, which I am honestly very excited about!
