Size of baby: A coconut
Weight gain: At the doctor on
Thursday, I weighed in at 150 pounds, so 30 pounds gained…not as bad as I
thought, even with all the Christmas cookies I've been eating!
Maternity clothes: Starting to get
sick of them…I have to do laundry every week because I wear the same couple of
outfits over and over!
Gender: A GIRL!
Movement: She’s slowed down a little bit, but still enjoys
kicking my ribs pretty hard, especially after dinner. On Christmas Eve, she
kicked so hard that Travis, sitting next to me on the couch, could feel her!
Cravings: Same stuff…pasta,
tomatoes, Chipotle, chocolate.
Symptoms: Thankfully,
the slight swelling I had last week has gone down. However, I have been feeling
realllllly crampy this past week. I
asked my doctor what was up with that and she said it might pre-term labor
contractions! She wanted to make sure I wasn’t going into labor anytime soon,
so I got “checked” (SO painful!) and I am not dilated or anything. Which is
good….baby needs to stay in there just
a little bit longer! My sciatic nerve pain has also been acting up this week,
especially at night—I can barely walk when I get up at night to pee!
Workouts: I walked 12 miles
again, but had to slow down from 4.0 to 3.6 pace…still doing the incline
though!
Sleep: I will be super tired at like 8:00, and then wide
awake when I actually try to go to bed around 11:00. While we were at Travis’
and then my parents’ houses, I slept terribly because those queen size beds
were a little too small for both of us and my pregnancy pillow! In my own king
size bed, I am sleeping great still once I fall asleep!
What I miss: Nothing really this
week! Just trying to soak up these last few weeks of pregnancy :)
Best moment this week: Celebrating
Christmas with our families and getting even closer to our baby’s arrival!
Looking
forward to: The rug and glider for
the nursery coming in soon (long story….another post for another time)! And
finishing up preparing for this little girl—we are almost ready!
congrats! i hope the next couple weeks fly by and that you have no complications with your delivery!
