2011 Re-cap!

Ohhhh yes! 2 posts in 2 days! I promise you, I am NOT planning on posting this often, so don't get too excited! But I really wanted to do a 2011 recap because it was such a good year for me! So before we get even further into 2012....here is my past year! :)

January

We had A TON of snow...3 snow days in a row!! Needless to say, I was a little bored/stir crazy by the end of it! This is when I started reading a bunch of blogs because I was so bored! Haha.

February

This month was my favorite because we got ENGAGED! FINALLY! I will post the whole story at some point if you are not familiar with it...but for now here are some pics from our engagement at the Biltmore:

March

Wedding planning in full force! My mom came down for the weekend and we looked at seriously at least 10 reception venues! We finally decided on Bentley's on 27 in uptown Charlotte on the 27th floor! It's gorgeous there!

April

I had TWO fun trips in April! First, to Cleveland for Kathryn's bachelorette party and bridal shower!

And then to San Francisco for my spring break to visit Liv!!!

May

Back to Ohio...this time for Kathryn's WEDDING!!!

June

We went to the Outer Banks with my mom's entire side of the family to celebrate my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary!

2 days after we got back from the beach, I got a new teaching job!!! :)

July

I turned 26! OLD!!!!

Travis also made me a cake! :)

August

I packed up my classroom and moved to my new school! YES, it took a Uhaul (that I shared with another teacher, but 2/3 of it was mine), my SUV AND my dad's car FULLY PACKED with stuff! Time to get rid of some things, perhaps??

September

Ohhhh joy! The start of football season! Travis has season tickets to UNC football games, so sometimes I tag along...when I have nothing better to do! Haha. Here we are at the season opener Labor Day weekend!

October

Football season continues...if you know my fiance, you know how this impacts my life significantly! For Travis' birthday, I got him tickets to see UNC play at Clemson, since he had been wanting to go to that game. We LOOOVED Clemson! Everyone was so nice to us! Even though Carolina lost, we still had a great time!

Also in October-Halloween...

Travis insisted on being Keith Stone (from the beer commercials) for the 2nd year in a row, so I was some sort of white trash/redneck to kinda "match" him!

November

The next 2 months I SERIOUSLY started slacking in the picture taking department! Here is one of the only pictures I took at Thanksgiving (FAIL). But just look at that deep-fried turkey...YUM...I was too busy eating to take pics, I guess!

December

Again, FAIL on the picture taking! But we did have a very Merry Christmas together, even though Travis had to go back to work the very next day!

2011 was a pretty eventful year for me! I can't wait for all of the fun in 2012! And I will do better with the picture taking, since I have this lovely blog now! :)

Time to go watch The Bachelor!!!!!
