1. We just got back from the pediatrician for Ella's 4 month check-up! She is a growing girl, weighing 13 pounds, 4 ounces (23%) and is 25 inches long (64%)! Still long and skinny!
She did not like getting weighed (don't worry sweet girl, Mommy feels the same way!), and unfortunately, the tears continued because she had to get her shots! She's doing ok right now, but I'm just waiting for the screaming that will come in a few hours. I have the infant Tylenol on hand and ready to go!
2. Our pediatrician also told me today that Ella might be ready to start rice cereal. Given that she has been extremely interested in our food...
{This was her, just last night...she was wayyyyy into Daddy's chips!}
...I thought maybe we should try it soon?! Moms: what are your thoughts/experiences with the rice cereal? I know it's kind of controversial, but I did go ahead and get some organic rice cereal just now at Target (PS- If you want me to buy something, just put my daughter's name on it! Done deal!), so we may try it in the next few days.
3. Natalie's wedding is in less than a month, but I'm already freaking out about my MOH speech! I hate speaking in public!!!! Anyone have suggestions!? Or want to come to Ohio July 5 and give the speech for me?! ;)
I did see this on Pinterest, so we'll see what I come up with...
4. I've been trying really hard to cook some healthy, but tasty dinners (we all know I hate cooking!), and I just had to share with you one I made this past week!
I cooked it in the oven, rather than the grill, but it was seriously the easiest thing ever, and it was SOOOO delicious! I made it with some mashed potatoes, and Trav loved it!
5. Speaking of my husband, it's his first Father's Day this weekend!! Ella had a little photo shoot yesterday as part of his present...
Hopefully he won't see this before Sunday (I don't think he reads this blog on the reg., but in case he does, hi honey!)...but I do know the grandpas mayyyy see this. Their gift is in the mail right now, but here's a little preview:
Happy Friday and Happy Father's Day to all the dads!!!
{I picked up this sweet Kissy Kissy outfit at a congisnment sale! That hat!!}
Have a great weekend!
How cute is she!!?? I love the pictures you did for Father's Day. Her smile is contagious!
ReplyDeleteI'm putting that tenderloin on my list to cook this week. Thanks!
Hello from the linkup! Ella is so adorable! My little girl is obsessed with the Wubbanub pacifiers. They are the best ever! Your Father's Day pictures turned out wonderful.
