Life with Bennett {week 40}

Oh goodness. Time for another weekly update again?!

So, for the first part of this week, we were at the beach...which I still need to recap for you, hopefully soon!

Monday:

Once we got back from the beach, we grilled out for Memorial Day and of course that meant the kids got to make s'mores. I really only let them do this so that I can make some for myself, ha!

Tuesday:

Lucas had his first private swimming lesson!

Ella's former preschool teacher (from her 2 year old class) lives in our neighborhood and teaches swim lessons out of her backyard pool. She is WONDERFUL and if you are in South Charlotte, I highly recommend her, but I'm pretty sure her waitlist has a waitlist at this point! Ella has taken lessons from her the past 2 summers, and now its Lucas's turn! 

He did NOT want to get in the pool whatsoever, and he certainly didn't want to wear his cool new Paw Patrol googles I had bought him...so Bennett tried them on instead ;)

Because Ms. Jocelyn is a true miracle worker, she got Lucas in the pool in no time flat and within 3 minutes, he was blowing bubbles, kicking his feet and moving his arms like he had been swimming his whole life!

She. is. amazing!

Lucas was already asking to go back later that day!

Wednesday:

We met our friends at the splash pad because it has just been too darn hot to do anything else this week!

Bennett napped in the shade of his car seat!

Of course Lucas found some other kid's toy trucks there and played with them the whole time (I checked with his mom to make sure it was ok!). 

Thursday:

More swim lessons with Ms. Jocelyn!

I mean, it might be too early to tell, but maybe we have the next Michael Phelps on our hands?! LOL. Ya never know, right?!

This sweet peach just continues to make me laugh, first with Lucas's baby doll...

Like, is this paci for me?!

And then rolling around Lucas's room in Ella's hat!

Gahh, I could just eat him up!
